Fill your heart with smoke

Ask me anything   whatever, whatever I can't speak. I sing.

to love someone is to allow yourself to be vulnerable. to say goodbye to love is like a death. i’ve said my goodbyes many times over. but i still feel like im always saying goodbye. every time i see you. what is this residual emotion clinging to my heart whenever i see you. i am beginning to truly understand, that we never fully give up the love we had. we feel that love as solely ours, and we cannot recreate and replace it. it tastes so bitter and sweet and sometimes tears and laughter mingle to only reinforce how much we loved. but the tangible-ness of our love fizzled long ago. years feels like days sometimes, though I love you differently I still love you. my head will not oblige my heart with reasons why the sting in my heart is everlasting. your blue eyes no longer make me hungry but they prick my heart. little cuts only you and I can see… we are bonded by our pain. what does this mean for me? love seems complicated now. can i accept that we always say goodbye?

"I guess that’s what saying good-bye is always like—like jumping off an edge. The worst part is making the choice to do it. Once you’re in the air, there’s nothing you can do but let go."

"Cowards die many times before their deaths;
The valiant never taste of death but once.
Of all the wonders that I yet have heard,
It seems to me most strange that men should fear;
Seeing that death, a necessary end,
Will come when it will come."

"There are two basic motivating forces: fear and love. When we are afraid, we pull back from life. When we are in love, we open to all that life has to offer with passion, excitement, and acceptance. We need to learn to love ourselves first, in all our glory and our imperfections. If we cannot love ourselves, we cannot fully open to our ability to love others or our potential to create. Evolution and all hopes for a better world rest in the fearlessness and open-hearted vision of people who embrace life."

"maybe, one day, I’ll settle for second best. And on that same day, hell will freeze over, the sun will burn out and the stars will fall from the sky."

"I’m completely in favor of the
separation of Church and State.
… These two institutions screw us up enough
on their own, so both of them together is
certain death."

"Let’s face it: I’m scared, scared and frozen. First, I guess I’m afraid for myself…the old primitive urge for survival. It’s getting so I live every moment with terrible intensity. It all flowed over me with a screaming ache of pain…remember, remember, this is now, and now, and now. Live it, feel it, cling to it. I want to become acutely aware of all I’ve taken for granted. When you feel that this may be good-bye, the last time, it hits you harder."
